We've purchased a new water heater and furnace from Peterson, as well as having them make significant repairs to our swamp cooler. We've had only two minor problems, one of which they immediately rectified at no cost to us, and our regular tech, Tim, is superb. I think Peterson also deserves a shout-out for charging less than they quoted for our furnace. When the tech saw we didn't need new ductwork, they reduced the bill by $1,200. We've also taken advantage of their finance plan, which carries much less interest than a credit card charge. I did have to contact Peterson twice about a billing error when the first person I spoke with did not follow through. But the second call resulted in an immediate correction, and I believe Peterson pays attention to glitches like these. ~ John W

I had a great experience! From the very start, they had someone to come out on a Friday afternoon to look at my heater when the first freeze was forecast to be Sunday! Bruce was right on time, very professional and very nice. He was through and explained everything to me along the way. He was able to diagnose, find the needed part in town and get the part picked up before they closed! He replaced the part and then checked to make sure it was working perfectly before he left and explained what he had checked in the process. Honestly the price was so very fair. Not sure I have had this quality of service anywhere for a long time. Many in the sevice industry act like you are an imposition these days but not here! My heater was not starting and it was only two years old so I called Peterson’s to see what the problem might be. I was surprised when I was able to get an appointment for the very next morning with it being the start of our cold season. Gabriel Kahn was the Service Specialist who responded. He called me to let me know he was on his way and arrived right on time for our appointment. Gabe was professional, efficient, and personable. Fortunately it was an easy fix this time, but he did recommend I vent my laundry room door where the furnace is at to avoid future issues. He gave me a quote and I will have Peterson’s handle the project after the first of the year. My daughter and I have both used this company in the past and have always been treated fairly. I highly recommend giving them a call for your heating, air and plumbing issues. ~ Pam P

Called on a whim to see if they delt with domestic gas lines and was immediately met with knowledge on potential causes and fixes to my problem by the sweet woman that answered the phone. She was able to have a gentleman at my house within 2 hours. After only a few minutes the gentleman promptly told me with a smile that he could most definitely remove the gas line for me and with exceptional ease as well as very little clean up after the fact. 30 minutes later and a good conversation and the gas line is gone and I’m able to continue my remodel construction. Peterson knocked it out of the park with some highly knowledgeable and exceptionally friendly staff that swooped in and saved the day in the midst of the holidays. ~ Jonathan D

Darren was very knowledgeable and thorough. We just moved in to this home and asked Darren to check EVERYTHING that was suppose to be done on the Inspection Objection and he did with a smile. He was very helpful and did not make me feel like I was inconveniencing him at all with all my requests. He went above and beyond and checked out other items at the house. He was able to provide me with pictures of all of problem spots and our not so much of a problem spots. He was able to explain everything in simple terms for me to fully understand and provide proof with pictures. I like the up front pricing book, I was able to ask "how much will that cost me?" and he was able to give me an answer on the spot. Everything went very smooth. ~ Diana A

Called Peterson in the morning, after a cold night with no heat,,,and they were able to work us into their schedule the same afternoon.Gabe & Jeff called us,to let us know when to expect them.Upon arrival at our home ,both men were friendly, professional and got right to work.When our system,turned out to need a "Specialized"part, they tried several suppliers, until they found one that had the part available the same day! This is where Gabe & Jeff went above and beyond & went the extra mile! They took the time to get the part and returned to complete the repair,so we would have heat that night.We highly recommend & appreciate, Peterson plumbing and heating. ~ Randall R

Update: The Peterson folks read my review first thing Monday morning, called to schedule a visit and showed up on time with a manager to have a look. They agreed the work could have been 'cleaner' and did a fine gas pipe rerouting job in just over an hour. Sister in law is happy, outdoor kitchen looks and works great. New pic is added. Rube Goldberg was foiled again by a real craftsman. 5 stars well deserved, good job Peterson! Original review: My sister in law has a beautiful outdoor patio and Peterson plumbed her outdoor kitchen for gas, which works. Unfortunately the job is an eyesore that rube goldberg would be proud of, see pics. Gas pipe interferes with grill drawer closing and is run 4" from the wall with with a trip hazard for a stanchion. I'll call them on Monday to come back and make it right. Stay tuned for an updated review, I'm confident they will make it right. ~ Stephen A

Robert (Bob) Rojas provided exceptional service with his on-time arrival, his proffesional manner, excellent workmanship and his assurance of my understanding what was the source of my problem with good, precise instructions on avoiding any future issues we encountered during this call. The new facet he installed, in addition to the service call, was done very carefully and his product knowledge assistance in our selection process was very much appreciative. Quality product was our goal and he provided options to choose from. On 24th early afternoon our hot water heater went bad. I’m no plumber or mechanic to fix it. I started calling and 99% of the calls no one answered or said leave a message. I finally had someone answer the phone $299 to take look and $299 an hour to fix it. I could have bought a new hot water heater for that! So we heated water on our stove until the morning of 27th. A couple call said in a day or two and Peterson said they could get to it from 1-3. We said ok. Bruce, the tech who got here, was great. Friendly and took care of the job much cheaper than the quote we got. So thank you Peterson and Bruce. It was nice to take a shower😊 ~ Steve B

I was so impressed with the service I received from Peterson Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Drain. My roof mounted Air conditioner-Heat Combo Unit quit and we have been experiencing temps in the 100's, so I called Peterson based on their ad and the emergency service they offered. I experienced very efficient and concerned regard to my problem. The Unit ceased to work and could smell burning, I turned unit off and I called their emergency number and the Tech was out the following day with two portable Air Conditioning units. I ordered a new unit and within two days they were installing it. I am so pleased with the Service and workmanship of this Company and their Technicians I highly recommend them for service with problems they provide. The Service Techs were knowledgeable and very thorough and courteous. Thank You Peterson's. You rate 5 stars in my book. ~ Renee E

1st of all,I don't like writing reviews,but this one is a pleasure. Tim is a professional and has always done an excellent job. He always goes above and beyond to do his work and his work gives me peace of mind that it's going to be done right and I won't have to worry if something is going to go wrong from his work. Tim has done work here before and he's always a pleasure to be around and always has a cheerful attitude-no matter how difficult the work. Our 7-yr. old water heater was leaking. Called Peterson Plumbing on the Friday before Labor Day, at 7:30 am. William was dispatched, and arrived before 8:00 am. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional when it came to diagnosing the problem. (Our home was built in 1941, and has had lots of unique, ad hoc plumbing "repairs" over the decades.) He called their Svce Mgr, Jeff, to verify his plan of action. Jeff came to our home, within minutes, to assess/confirm William's findings, (which he did). We were given a realistic overview and education on the short- and long-term futures of our existing water heater and galvanized portions of our plumbing system. The water heater was flushed and repaired, and our minds set at ease, within two hours. We will definitely use and recommend Peterson's in the future for all of our plumbing needs, including maintaining our swamp cooler. --Cannot speak highly enough of their team! ~ Janette K

Peterson came and inspected our pipes and we had to get all new main lines to the sewer. There was a collapsed pipe and old pipes from the 1950s that were backing up our whole house. Peterson was fast and effective Timmy And his crew worked super hard for two days, After the first day, they made sure we had one running bathroom to get us through the night and finished the rest of the work the next day. They were super professional and super nice. Very respectable and understanding. We will definitely use them again in the future for plumbing needs. Lance was late but called well ahead to let us know. He got right to it. Unfortunately ihe could not finish the job, it was due to him not being able to get that part! Lance indicated he would have order that part to finish the job. He adjusted the bill to reflect he could not finish all the work at this time. He then gave us the option to order the part ourselves which saved us money! He was professional and friendly and did his very best! He instructed us that when that part arrives to call Petersen Plumbing ask for him and he come and install that part! He gets 5 Stars from us! Well done Lance! ~ Matt E

All I can say about Peterson is that they do truly incredible work. Our water heater went out and within an hour of calling, they had John at our house looking at our water heater. What we appreciated the most was the one stop shop for basically any home repair. John was patient, thorough, and very willing to educate my engineer husband. After finding some unique duct work, he called Brandon, who provided an extensive inspection and a very helpful lesson on furnace construction to boot! We are very appreciative of Peterson and will be using them for all plumbing and HVAC issues in the future! ~ Sarah E

No one wants to have to deal with a sump pump, but John N. Showed up for the job and did an efficient assessment and got to work, no complaints. Within an hour and a half we were back in business. Very impressed! My last 2 interactions with Peterson has been very encouraging. In a world where service calls are 3 weeks out, Peterson has been able to get me scheduled next day. Where schedulers seem short and unapologetically disinterested, Peterson schedulers have been very attentive and available. These guys are polite and courteous, even in less than appealing jobs. My hot water heater was linking. Everyone from the lady, who took my call, to the two guys who insalled it were fantastic. Tim came here in a timely manner. He was polite, informative and explained everything he was going to do. He never treated me like I was just a dumb women. He did a great job installing the new heater and getting everything up to code. When I called back to let you folks know I still had a small problem, the kitchen water did have the same pressure as the bathroom. Tom came and again treated me very politly. What happened was some of the junk from the old heater had bult up in the screen, on the kitchen faucet, was cutting the pressure down. There again Tom didn't act like I should have know this. He cleaned it and checked the bathroom faucets and looked over the new heater. I felt reasured that everything was going to be okay. Thank you everyone that I dealt with You truly are a team. I own a rental in Grand Junction , but live in WI . I reached out to Peterson after searching online , and seeing some positive reviews . Was very impressed with everything start to finish . It can be difficult to orchestrate things from afar , but the gentleman who took my call was dilligent in taking time with my call , gathering information , and assessing the issue . I was able to get a technician to come out the next day to address and resolve the problem . Great communication, and processes to make a everything as smith as possible . The mini split system for my house was not originally installed by Peterson but I needed professional help to diagnose an issue after I discovered a leak in one of my mini split lines. I replaced the line myself before Ben arrived but was still having issues with the house not warming up. As a homeowner I really enjoy understanding how and why my equipment is failing. Ben was on time, very thorough and amazing at answering all of my questions. I feel like I received a free class on how mini split systems work. My mini split is pumping out heat now! I will definitely call Peterson's the next time I need any HVAC services. ~ Scott H

Devin S came to my home to drain my evaporative cooler and check the boiler for my heating system. During the time that he was here he was professional, knowledgeable, and respectful to me and my home. He took the time to explain what he was doing. I asked him to check out the boiler vent on the roof. He did and made recommendations for repairing it. I did not feel pressured into getting it repaired but did so and Devin was able to get it done the same day. He was efficient and respectful of my time. I feel comfortable that the work he performed was thorough and up to the standards that I have become accustomed to from Peterson Plumbing. ~ Donna M

Both John W. and Jeff were courteous and professional the whole time they were here. John explained in a way I could understand what the issues were with my old boiler and the cost to repair and explained what a new system would cost and what all they would do. I was satisfied with their work, it looked a lot better than all of the old piping with the old unit. After the job was completed they explained and showed me what all they had done, the warranty and they did a good job of cleaning up after they had finished. I would recommend them to friends. I want to give a big shout out to both Doug and JR for the amazing response time. They're both very professional and courteous and my Pitbulls loved them both. Doug and JR both explained what needed to be done to fix the tub faucet in the upstairs bathroom. JR told me the cost for the repair and calling around Mesa County Peterson Plumbing prices are reasonable comparison to your competitors. That was a huge blessing. In the future if I ever have plumbing issues again I will definitely call and request JR and Doug since my dog's are comfortable with them. Thank you again 😊 ~ Farrah L

Amazing service! We could not be happier. We called 4 different HVAC companies to come fix our AC and they all had a 2 week waitlist or we could pay an “emergency fee” of a few hundred dollars to get them out sooner. Peterson was able to come out within 1 hour. No crazy fees. William Huntley was awesome!! He was so informative, professional, and quick to solve the problem.
